Sea Safaris
Journey with us to view the stunning Cornish coastline and wildlife.
The Little Mermaid travels to one of two destinations, Seal Island or Godrevy Lighthouse, chosen on the day by our highly experienced skipper based on weather conditions, sea state, and where we think you will get to spot more of the wildlife, along the way to the chosen location our passengers and children especially love trying to catch the spray as we whizz down the coast.
While out on the water you may spot a variety of seals, dolphins, sharks, whales, and tuna as well as a variety of sea birds you may even spot a sunfish or two, identified by its large dorsal fin waving in the water. Our Skipper will ensure you get the opportunity to spend time watching them, ask the skipper about the wildlife and coastline, they have a wealth of local knowledge.
Seal Island to the West of St. Ives lies on the north coast of Cornwall. It is the largest in a group of islands - known as the Western Carracks, home of the Atlantic Grey Seals who love to inhabit the island. Be sure to take in the stunning Cornish coastline on the way to our destination.
To the East of St. Ives lies Godrevy Lighthouse, which stands 26 meters tall on its own island, it is a couple of hundred meters from the mainland. Godrevy Lighthouse is roughly the same distance from the port as Seal Island, on arrival we circumnavigate the lighthouse to marvel at the Victorian edifice. The Skipper will give you the history of the lighthouse, and opportunities to spot more wildlife.
