Little Mermaid

A true marvel born at the Southampton boat show in 1999 under the name Millennium. Originally a 36ft Corvette bullet designed for offshore use, it can brave winds up to Beaufort 8 and 4 meters of significant wave height, but do not fear, we always take into account the sea and weather conditions and will not run a trip or charter if it is not deemed safe to do so, and we will endeavour to either reschedule your trip or process a full refund. Your enjoyment and safety are our highest priorities!

When Ian took the helm, he gave her a new identity as The Little Mermaid.

Certified by the MCA as a category 2 vessel, The Little Mermaid can carry up to 12 passengers and 2 crew members, venturing up to 60 miles from a safe haven (port). We prioritize safety, meeting the highest standards with compliance to MGN280 regulations.

Since Ian's ownership, Little Mermaid has undergone impressive upgrades, including a new engine that makes it one of the fastest boats in St. Ives Harbour. Fasten your seatbelts for a comfortable and exhilarating experience on the water!

We take our responsibility to the marine environment seriously, and that's why we're proud to be WiSe accredited. By upholding the WiSe principles, we aim to minimize disturbance to marine wildlife, ensuring responsible and respectful wildlife watching. Our WiSe accreditation is not just a badge; it's a commitment backed by training, certification, and a passion for raising awareness.

Join us on St. Ives Sea Trips for a maritime adventure that combines experience, safety, speed, and a genuine love for the sea. Your journey with us is not just a trip; it's a story waiting to be written.

Dolly P

One of the most well known Cornish safari boats Dolly takes thousands of passengers to sea each year.

First designed way back in the 70s the Lochin Marine 33 is a superb sea going vessel, adapted by the RNLI to become the Brede class of all weather lifeboats.

The classic hull design remains incredibly capable today and is just about all that has been retained of the original boat, Dolly is now one of the most modern equipped boats in service. Refitted in 2024 with a brand new eco engine, gearbox and mechanics she carries state of the art RADAR, Infrared cameras, underwater cameras and auto stability system to name a few additions.

On deck passengers have access to digital chart screens and cameras to enhance the safari experience.
